Egg Donation Services for Donors in Phoenix, Arizona

Egg Donors - The Ultimate Gift

As an anonymous egg donor, a young woman has the ability to give a priceless gift to a couple who wants to enhance their lives with a child. Couples who seek pregnancy through the use of donated eggs may have been trying for years without success despite all medical advances. Alternatively, a woman may need donated eggs because her own ovaries have been removed or failed to function prematurely. Some couples need eggs from a donor because they do not want to pass along a genetic disease to their children.

These couples could not have a family without your help!

We at ARMS are truly committed to making the egg donation process as rewarding and enjoyable an experience as possible. Our Reproductive Endocrinology fellowship trained, Board Certified physicians and nursing staff will be available to assist through the entire egg donation process. We have several convenient Phoenix, Arizona locations at which most of your visits can be arranged.

Egg Donor Responsibilities

A minor in office surgical procedure is required to remove the eggs. The eggs are removed by inserting a needle into the ovary through the vaginal wall with the assistance of transvaginal ultrasound. You are given deep sedation by an anesthesiologist during this procedure. Theoretical risks include infection, damaging other organs and blood vessels that are around the ovaries, and anesthetic adverse reactions. We have never had such a complication at ARMS in our donor egg program.

The risks are minimal. In fact, at ARMS we are extremely proud of our low rate of complications. We are very concerned about your safety.

Ovarian Hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is caused by the medications we use to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs in one cycle. If a donor is over stimulated, she can develop, in its most severe form, this potentially life threatening condition in which her ovaries are significantly enlarged with cysts, fluid accumulates in the abdomen and lungs, dehydration occurs due loss of blood volume. The condition corrects itself over the course of a week to 10 days. The overall incidence of this complication in IVF programs is 2%. Over the past 2 years we have had only 3 patients out of 330 patients (0.09% incidence) develop severe OHSS. Our rate of this complication is less than half what other clinics on average report. We are very proud of our extremely low rate of even mild OHSS in our patients, including our donors!
